 10. 040924

‘040924’ began with the simple act of cutting and folding square sheets of aluminium. Discrete in design, these architectural, folded forms emphasise subtle interplays of light and reflection. As if reflections of each other, the two components of ‘040924’ are identical, but with different motifs painted onto their surfaces. The intervention of spray-paint extends painting into three-dimensional space and adds a further level of surface interaction and intrigue. Through their geometric form and industrial materiality, they recall the architectures of the City and reveal the harmony of light,  material and form.
